Original etching and engraving signed lower right “Callot inc.”, contemporary anonymous copy of very high quality of Lieure 670.
Beautiful example printed with strong contrast on laid paper apparently without watermark, with wide margins around the platemark, of different dimensions on the four edges, with mild fingermarking on the right lower side and a few spots of foxing here and there otherwise in very good general condition.
Among the roman ruins we can recognise at left the Coliseum and in the background the Trajan's column, the Neron's tower, the Arches of Septimius and Titus and the Pantheon.
