Robert BRANDARD (1805 – 1862) “Views of Athens”
Set of seven original steel-engravings after the most famous english and european painters of the time from the work entitled “The Rhine, Italy and Greece” written by the Reverend George Newenham Wright (c1794–1877) and published in London by Fisher Son & Co. about 1841.
Beautiful exemplar with plein margins, with a mild browning to the borders but in general very good conditions.
Very nice collection of views with the famous monuments of Athens, all the subjects present in the work about the greek Capital.
